YWCA Wins TeamHealth Cares Charity Contest!

Throughout the month of December, TeamHealth celebrated #GivingTuesday all month long by kicking off our annual #TeamHealthCares charity contest.  We collaborated with Habitat for Humanity, Shatter Proof, Make A Wish and the YWCA to celebrate the spirit of giving and asked our social media audience to visit the TeamHealth Cares website  to vote for the organization of their choice to receive a $10,000 donation from TeamHealth.

Voting was close, and it came down to the very end, but our 2017 #TeamHealthCares charity contest winner is the YWCA!

“We are absolutely thrilled and honored to accept $10,000 from TeamHealth as a part of their TeamHealth Cares Campaign! Thank you to our followers, supporters, Staff, and Board of Directors who voted and shared consistently. Also a special thank you to TeamHealth for giving us this opportunity!,” posted the YWCA of Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley on their Facebook page. “What an incredible difference this will make for our clients in 2018. We are deeply thankful.”

The YWCA is a nonprofit organization that has been helping women and their families in Knoxville for 108 years. Their mission is to create opportunities for women’s growth, leadership and power in order to attain a common vision: peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people. They work to empower women and girls and to eliminate racism in Knoxville. YWCA Knoxville embodies its mission of empowering women and eliminating racism through three annual signature events: Race Against Racism, Keys of Hope Luncheon and Tribute to Women.

Some of the winning charities we’ve supported since 2011 include the United Way, American Red Cross and the Ronald McDonald House charities. TeamHealth Cares creates a giving culture and builds team unity with the common goal of helping support great causes in our community. Thank you to everyone who voted in our #TeamHealthCares holiday campaign – and CONGRATS to the YWCA!
